HFT Stuttgart currently supervises over 30 doctoral programmes in various disciplines. Our university offers doctoral students both independent doctorates within the Doctoral Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and cooperative doctorates in collaboration with universities.
Since 2022, Universities of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg have the right to carry out doctorates independently for the first time thanks to the founding of the doctoral association. The doctoral association brings together various UAS to jointly promote and organise doctoral opportunities. HFT Stuttgart is also part of the doctoral association - doctoral students at HFT can therefore do their doctorate directly at our University of Applied Sciences via the Baden-Württemberg Doctoral Association and be supervised by one of the 20 professors with the right to award doctorates.
All doctoral candidates who do their doctorate in cooperation with HFT Stuttgart are automatically part of a Graduate Academy, in which they benefit both from the supervision of the university's professors and from a qualification programme specially tailored to their needs.
Further information on the Graduate Academy and the Doctoral Law and Association can be found here
