Foreign Languages

Foreign Languages are very important at HFT Stuttgart! The International Office offers five languages in different types of courses and three levels (to GER). Around 64 foreign language courses take place each semester at the HFT Stuttgart.

We offer five different languages: Business English, Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

FAQ

Yes, registration is necessary for the Wednesday and the February Intensive Courses as the number of participants is limited. No registration is required for the language courses during the lecture period..

The registration for the Wednesday and Intensive Courses is online via LSF.

Yes, attendance is compulsory in all language courses.

No placement test is required for participation in a foreign language course.

Recognition of language services is possible if

  • they aren't older than two years.
  • they have a minimum of 60 hours.
  • level and learning content corresponds to the specifications of the respective course of study.

German as a Foreign Language (VESPA-Association)

VESPA (VErbund für SPrachenAngelegenheiten) is a cooperation between Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences (HFT Stuttgart), State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, Stuttgart Media University and State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, with the aim of joint language teaching across all universities.

Intensive Courses

Intensive Courses

Course dates: 12.02. - 06.03.2024 // course times see in the programme // online via zoom.

To participate in the course you will need a stable internet connection as well as a laptop/PC with camera and speakers or headphones.

Semester Courses

The German courses in the summer semester take place at Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart und Hochschule der Medien. These are conducted face to face. The respective start date can be found in the programme.
