HFT startups convince at the state finals of ASAP BW and win two prizes

Eight teams present themselves in the final round

The audience award went to the team from allnewfaces. The startup Baustoff-Sharing won the prize for the best business model.

Every six months, the most promising university startups in Baden-Württemberg from the previous semester compete in the ASAP BW finals to convince the jury and the audience of their own business model with a razor-sharp pitch. In total, over 100 teams from 25 universities and colleges are taking part in the program. 26 teams qualified for the finals. Among them were a sensational eight teams from the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, which made up by far the largest number of finalists. This was a great success for the university's own start-up center PLAN G, from whose STARTPLAN start-up format most of the teams emerged.

At the public viewing at the HFT, students, staff and professors followed the state finals and cheered along with the university's own teams. With cool drinks and hot outside temperatures, the spectators were amazed: eight perfect pitches, right down to the second, and with success: two out of six awards went to HFT Stuttgart, making the university the most successful in the finals!

Compliments to the team of ASAP BW for this high class final. The format increases the reach of the young teams in an incomparable way and makes the startup potential in The Länd visible!

The Start-up BW Academic Seed Accelerator Program (ASAP BW for short) is a state-wide competition for the best start-up ideas from all Baden-Württemberg universities. It aims to motivate students to advance and implement the creative ideas they develop during their studies into business models. A total of more than 100 teams from 25 universities and colleges are taking part in the program. The task is to convince the jury of the merits of the team's idea in 90 seconds. There are prizes to be won in six different categories and up to 1000€.

The "Audience Darling" Award went to allnewfaces: Samuel Trefz, Lukas Stoll: "We help Generation Z to find acquaintances and like-minded people by connecting a group of people with the same interests via a digital platform where spontaneity, individuality and fun are in the foreground.

The "Business Model" Award, endowed with 500€, was won by the team Baustoff Sharing: Julian Heid and Stefan Kleppe: "We help craftsmen avoid the wasteful disposal or unnecessary storage of leftover building materials by quickly and easily purchasing, processing and offering other craftsmen and private individuals the opportunity to buy building materials that are no longer used, both physically and digitally, via a standardized purchasing process.

The excitement was worth it - we at PLAN G are extremely proud of the performance of our teams. For us, the two prizes are representative of the high level of our teams and the enormous potential that our university has in the areas of startup and foundation.
