142 pupils put their mathematical skills to the test in challenging project and speed tasks at the HFT Maths Cup 2025.
Lise-Meitner-Gymnasium Remseck (Team 1) took first place,
Remstal-Gymnasium Weinstadt (Team 1) took second place and
Reuchlin-Gymnasium Pforzheim (Team 1) took third place.
The 37 teams not only brilliantly solved a complex project task involving the probability of a visit to the outdoor pool under various expected conditions (e.g. which friends are going, what is the outside temperature), but also the challenging tasks of the speed competition. In addition to logical thinking, speed was also required. After lunch, while the tasks were still being corrected, students from the Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence degree programme and the Maths² variant reported on their day-to-day studies. For the 29 teachers, there was a specialised lecture and workshop on the topic of artificial intelligence. We are grateful for the positive response and are already looking forward to the next Maths Cup, which will take place in July 2025.
