Students develop solutions for automation at hackathon

Real problems from the business world had to be dealt with at Talents@Festo

At the Talents@Festo hackathon at the end of February, 4 HFT students were among the 11 participants. The representatives of the Business Informatics and Master Software Technology degree programmes came together with colleagues from the fields of aerospace engineering, electrical engineering and others.

For two days, the students worked from the challenge to the needs and customer analysis to the pretotype (method for validating the idea) and then presented their proposed solutions in a pitch to the relevant jury.

The challenges for which solutions were to be found came from the fields of automation technology and user experience. The participants were accompanied by experienced start-up mentors.

At the end of the second day, three completely different solutions were presented by the teams.

Talents BW is a program of Gründermotor, in which students are brought into collaboration with innovative medium-sized companies in a hackathon. Gründermotor itself is the innovation platform in Baden-Württemberg that brings together startups, science and SMEs.
