Cities are heating, ecosystems are fragmenting, and people are losing touch with nature. My research bridges this gap by designing climate-resilient green belts through a human-centered lens. Using Erbil and Stuttgart as contrasting case studies, I combined satellite data, citizen surveys, and expert insights to reveal how urban greenery can cool cities, restore well-being, and reconnect people with their environment, shaping smarter, more livable urban futures.
