Once again this winter semester, the Faculty of Architecture and Design will be holding specialist lectures as part of the Point 7 series. Renowned designers from the fields of architecture, interior design and urban planning have been speaking in the series since 2004.
In the current political debate, theater buildings are under fire not only in Stuttgart. The renovation of aging theaters across Germany is inevitable. However, funding for education and culture should not be pitted against one another, as is unfortunately the case in the public discourse. The symposium’s approach is therefore to discuss the best possible implementation strategies for cultural buildings in order to meet cost, schedule, and quality requirements. The symposium will focus on various contract models, using examples from Cologne, Kassel, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Munich, Karlsruhe, and other cities. A wide range of representatives from the individual projects have already confirmed their participation (clients, client representatives, planners, project managers, construction companies, users, lawyers, cultural professionals, etc.).
