On view at Fais Dodo in Stuttgart until September 30, 2022
Students from the architecture and interior design programs at the HFT Stuttgart devoted themselves to the topic of architecture in the past winter semester as part of an elective course together with students from the Illustration course at the HfK+G Stuttgart, to the topic of Architecture and Comic.
Now they have the opportunity to show their works publicly in an exhibition – as part of the Stuttgart Comic Festival »ComicJuju«. At Fais Dodo, the comics of Martha Arsoniadou, Lukas Berger, Melanie Döffinger, Edda Dunkel, Sara Duric, Cayetano Garcia Cachay, Tolgahan Gücüyeter, Claire Hermann, Isabelle Huter, Dorothea Jakob, William Mayer, Julika Michelt, Janieke Möbes, Nina Pusche, Alis Redzhebova, David Schrollinger and Katarina Taag will be impressively presented.
Comic fans, those with an affinity for art, students and the curious are invited to explore!
The elective »Architecture and Comic« was supervised by comics author and lecturer Sarah Chand with professors Markus Binder and Andreas Kretzer. Perhaps the exhibition will be an inspiration for other students to take part in this elective, which will be offered for the third time in the coming winter semester.
This satellite exhibition, along with other exhibitions, is part of the Stuttgart Comic Days »ComicJuju«, which will enter its next round this year from September 16 to 18: The small, fine festival shows itself this year with numerous events in Stuttgart's city center. In cooperation with the Superjuju Concept Store and other stores, bars and cafés, there will be moderated readings and comic workshops in addition to the exhibitions.
The two-color Riso printed and self-bound zine, this time with comic contributions on the theme »land of milk and honey«, will be published for the ComicJuju weekend - as usual with upcoming up-and-coming artists, but also well-known greats of the comic scene.
