What is the HFTMobil?

The HFTMobil is an innovative mobile unit from Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, developed with the aim of bringing technical knowledge and practice-oriented research directly to the wider community. In doing so, it fosters sustainable links between the university and the general public. It strengthens the dialogue between the two and makes science tangible and accessible.

The HFTMobil is a versatile trailer that serves as an exhibition space for teaching, research and knowledge transfer. It is designed to showcase the university’s expertise in public spaces and to be used as a mobile platform for various event formats. The HFTMobil can be deployed at a variety of locations – whether at trade fairs, conferences, town festivals, public information events, project meetings or specialist conferences. It offers a wide range of uses, including exhibitions, mini-cinemas, learning and meeting spaces, survey booths, coffee bars, as well as screens and tablets for simulations or presentations. In addition, the trailer can be used as a test room for VR and AR headsets.
