What can our Bachelor students expect during the preparation week?

HFT Stuttgart is one of the few universities in Germany to offer you a compact preparation week to make it easier for you to start your studies. During our preparation week, you will have the opportunity to

  • get to know the university and your fellow students as well as the professors,
  • obtain information from the central facilities, such as the library, examination office, student advisory service or SkiLL,
  • learn tips and tricks about your studies from tutors from higher semesters,
  • learn important skills based on a course-specific project task and
  • reflect on your learning strategies at the university with qualified trainers.

Further information about the preparation week and the exact schedule for your degree program can be found here:

Questions about starting your studies

If you have any questions, the student department and the student advisory service at HFT Stuttgart are your first port of call for information about your studies. The student department will answer your questions about the organization of your studies (e.g. starting and progressing your studies, lectures and examinations, fees, internships and forms). Further specific questions can also be answered by the Student Advisory Service. It will help you get started in "student life" and guide you through your studies. You can find your student contacts in the peer mentoring program. The mentors are already experienced students and will tell you at eye level what it takes to study successfully.

Zoom news feed "HFT for you"

As an additional service for our first-year students, the news feed "HFT for you "* will be launched via Zoom at the start of the semester. In the first few weeks of the semester, "HFT for you" will provide you with lots of information about starting your studies and interesting facts about student life in the state capital. The channel is primarily aimed at our first-year Bachelor students. However, new Master's students are of course also very welcome!
