Katja Rade (Principal), Lutz Gaspers (Vice Principal), and the professors of the bachelor's degree programmes welcomed around 420 first-year students today, who are starting the summer semester 2026 at HFT Stuttgart. Around 120 master's students will begin their studies at HFT Stuttgart next week.

The Welcome included an introduction to the respective degree programme, getting to know each other and a tour of the campus. There was also plenty of information about AStA & StuPa, who had once again prepared goodie bags. Fresh pretzels and coffee were available in student block 4.

The Service Centre for Competence-Oriented and Innovative Learning and Teaching(SkiLL), which offers language courses and courses on methods, social and personal skills as part of the 'Studium Integrale' programme, the International Office, which provides support on topics such as studying abroad/semester abroad, and the Central Student Advisory Service, which is now temporarily available for students in Building 2 (Room 338), all presented themselves at the information market in front of the Senate Hall. It provides support on topics such as study organisation, learning methods, personal issues and much more. Also at the start: Plan G, the start-up centre at the HFT and the Studierendenwerk, which supports students with a wide range of advisory services.

We wish all freshmen a good start to their studies and hope that your wishes and expectations (see above) are fulfilled - welcome to the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences!
