Design IP2 | Dominik Schmidt & Lennart Steeb | 3rd semester | summer semester 2019

The Cliff Diver Sanctuary is designed as a place where people can practice the sport of cliff diving, but also see and experience the site of the former quarry. The context analysis led to the design idea of a construction suspended in front of the rock, which takes up the location’s tough industrial character. The six platforms, which also serve as launch platforms for the divers, are suspended over the entire height of the rock face. The actual premises are placed as individual volumes on the various platforms.

The work was supervised by Prof. Jens Oberst.
