TEDxStuttgart "Welcome Home" on 8 October in Stuttgart

Prof. Dr. Patrick Planing talks about his topic "Acceptance Research"

Prof. Dr. Patrick Planing from HFT Stuttgart is this year's speaker at TEDxStuttgart, the self-organised offshoot of TED Talks in Stuttgart. He talks about the question "Do we actually want to use all the new inventions?". As an acceptance researcher, Planing looks behind the things people do. He finds out why.

TEDxStuttgart will take place on October 8, 2022, Mozartsaal - Liederhalle Stuttgart, starting at 6:00 p.m. The overarching theme of the event this year is "Welcome Home". The welcome addresses the normalcy that has been sorely missed in recent months and years.

Patrick Planing is an acceptance researcher. He explores the question of why we love some new technologies and can't stand others.

He reveals why he is so passionate about this topic on the pages of TEDxStuttgart (in German).

The volunteer group of TEDxStuttgart offers a stage for speakers from the state of Stuttgart at their events. 108 speakers and performers have already inspired more than 3000 guests in 106 lectures and performances at 11 events so far.

Tickets are available directly from the organizers (in German).

To get in the mood for the topic, we recommend the Stadtlabor podcast with Patrick Planing "Hyperloop and air cab: Who needs something like that?"
