Master's Thesis | Sonja Matt | 4th Semester | Summer Semester 2023

The master thesis REBUILDING URBAN IDENTITY presents a concept for the restructuring of the historic train station building in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim and its interior redesign in a dialogue between old and new. The idea is to restore the lost splendor of the contemporary witness and to cultivate the building as an identity-creating calling card of the place. Ultimately, the focus is on the urban identity of the district, located between vineyards and the automotive industry, and its reflection in the historic reception building.

This work was supervised by Professors Jens Betha and Karsten Weigel.
