Department stores have been on the decline for some time now. In the recent past, there have been over 100 store closures across Germany. How can we use the typology of department stores? The project "Virtual building in existing buildings - We Are Together" offers a possible use and a concept to combine the qualities of the large typology, the continuous development of the augmented reality area and the social meeting point - in order to create a virtual connection to several cities.
This Master's Thesis was supervised by Prof. Andreas Kretzer and substitute professor Dr. Philipp Reinfeld.
