On 14 September 2022, the time has come. On this day, the three-day XR Week will open its doors in Stuttgart's Haus der Wirtschaft. The HFT Stuttgart will be there with plenty of expertise on augmented and virtual reality in its full themed backpack.

The content of the XR Week (eXtended Reality Week) from September 14 to 16, 2022, is all about the digital world - from virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) to augmented reality (AR). The industry get-together in the direct vicinity of HFT Stuttgart offers a mixture of exhibition, congress, conference and workshop in the Haus der Wirtschaft. Against this background, HFT Stuttgart will be on site with its know-how in the XR environment. The researchers will present their topics at two booths. One booth is dedicated specifically to the "SensAR" project funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation, i.e. the communication of sensor data by means of AR and its use in the production process.

The second booth will showcase other XR science topics. In this context, the researchers will present a selection of different AR and VR solutions that are being used in current research projects and teaching courses. In addition, the scientists of the HFT Stuttgart will unpack their topics from their backpacks in the course of the XR Congress. On the opening day, starting at 5:00 p.m., Prof. Volker Coors will talk about the SensAR project and other work on AR in urban planning and participation projects. And also on the last day of the event, the HFT Stuttgart will show its expertise. For this purpose, another lecture is scheduled starting at 11:35 am. The topic: Using 3D City Models as an Occlusion Mask to Overcome the Hololens Limited Scanning Range for Outdoor AR-Applications. Speaker: Muhammad Alfakhori.

You will find our stands in the Haus der WIrtschaft, 2nd floor in the Max-Eyth Saal (stand numbers 46C and 47A).
