Universities in Stuttgart cooperate in the VESPA network

The aim of the Verbund für Sprachenangelegenheiten (VESPA) is to provide a high-quality range of language courses from which students at all participating universities can benefit.

For several years, the HFT Stuttgart, the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart and the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart have been cooperating in the field of language teaching. With yesterday's signing of the contract, the continuation of the successful cooperation was secured. In the course of the extension of VESPA, a new agreement was reached on the possibility of accepting further universities as associated partners, which would contribute to the network by opening up their own language offerings. VESPA has already agreed on an associated partnership with the Media University. The admission of further universities to VESPA is welcomed by the participating universities.

Present at the signing ceremony were: Prof. Dr. Katja Rade, Rector of the HFT Stuttgart, Prof. Dr. Barbara Bader, Rector of the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, Prof. Dr. Hendrikje Mautner-Obst, Prorector for International Affairs and Intercultural Communication, State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, and Brigitte Heintz-Cuscianna, Head of the International Office of the HFT Stuttgart.
