HFT goes digital

The HFT Stuttgart converts its lectures to digital learning and teaching formats

On 11th March the Baden-Württemberg government decided that the start of lectures at all universities of applied sciences (HAW) in Baden-Württemberg will be postponed from 16th March to 20th April due to the current corona pandemic. The HFT Stuttgart reacted quickly and made teaching content available to students in digital formats and online lectures as early as 23rd March.

It is now clear that the majority of the 2020 summer semester must be conducted online. For the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart this means: HFT goes digital! Within a very short time, all 32 courses of study will convert their learning and teaching content to digital alternatives so that teaching can be carried out as a full semester in the summer of 2020.

How this is implemented in the respective faculties and courses of study can be found here as an example:

Faculty of Architecture and Design

Faculty of Civil Engineering, Building Physics and Business Management

Faculty of Geomatics, Computer Science and Mathematics

We are here for you!

The Corona pandemic creates many challenges and problems in terms of organisation, structure and personal development. Since 19 March, the university buildings may only be entered by employees, professors and lecturers. In order to reduce social contacts, a lot of colleagues work in home office. Nevertheless, the staff in the faculties, the student affairs department and the student counselling service as well as all central facilities of the HFT Stuttgart are available to students, by e-mail, telephone or by making individual  appointments. An overview of the contacts can be found here:
