In the period from October 7 to 21, 2022, a total of five celebratory graduate ceremonies will be held to bid farewell to the graduates of the summer semester 2022. In a very personal address, Rector Prof. Dr. Katja Rade points out the challenges that await those who are now embarking on their careers.

"Time is out of joint!" is what William Shakespeare had his main character Hamlet say more than 400 years ago. A statement that still holds true. "But it's not only wars that put a strain on our sensitive system Earth, but also the now omnipresent climate change, species loss, air pollution and the littering of the world's oceans, to name just a few challenges at this point," says Rade. During their studies, the graduates of HFT Stuttgart learned to familiarize themselves with completely new topics, to apply theoretical approaches and put them into practice, to analyze results and evaluate them in a scientifically sound manner, and to create their own approaches to solutions in order to drive innovation. "At no time in the existence of this earth has there been a better educated generation than you! It is your world! Change it and improve it!" Katja Rade addresses this appeal to the graduates and ends her speech with the words:

Thank you for studying here with us! Congratulations on your successful graduations! Goodbye dear graduates!Welcome dear alumni!
