Stallgeflüster in the 54th issue
Corona and shutdown? At the HFT Stuttgart there was no sign of this last semester. On the contrary: This newspaper clearly shows how flexibly and with what high motivation the lecturers and employees took on the challenges of an online semester and carried them out with new ideas and creativity. The result can be found on the 40 pages of this newspaper, which is one of the most comprehensive editions in years.
New rectorate at the HFT Stuttgart
The ceremony to bid farewell to Prof. Rainer Franke and to welcome Prof. Dr. Katja Rade was unfortunately cancelled due to corona conditions. We had kept two pages of the editorial free for this event until the end. But these pages are not empty, they introduce the new rectorate.
But we do not let our former rector Prof. Rainer Franke go without a greeting. On pages 4 to 6 you will find appreciations and greetings from
- Minister Theresia Bauer, MdL / Ministry of Science, Research and Art Baden-Württemberg
- Dr. Walter Rogg / Managing Director of Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH
- Prof. Dr. Bastian Kaiser/ Chairman of the HAW Rectors' Conference
- Bernd Göhner / Chairman of the Friends of the HFT Stuttgart e.V. and Chairman of the Knödler-Decker Foundation
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lutz Gaspers / Vice Rector for Studies and Teaching at the HFT Stuttgart.
"And suddenly everything is in motion"
Prof. Dr. Katja Rade is the first woman to hold the post of Rector of the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences. It is also the first time in the history of the university that the office has been taken over by a person who is not from the university itself. We wanted to get to know Dr. Katja Rade better and learn more about her goals for our university. Curious? Then read the interview on pages 21 and 22.
More topics in this issue:
This time we do not want to highlight any topics in particular, because everyone worked together to make the past corona semester a successful one. The articles and reports in this newspaper bear witness to this.
