A sustainable management of natural water resources is one of the greatest challenges for the future o mankind. The past few years have shown that adaption is necessary in many areas—worldwide, but also in Germany! These include, for example

  •     The increase in heavy precipitation and flood events,
  •     droughts and heat waves,
  •     the availability of fresh water for drinking and food production,
  •     the drainage of large cities, including water purification and treatment,
  •     the reduction of water pollution and
  •     maintaining the functionality of aquatic ecosystems

Many of the topics are already covered in the lectures at HFT Stuttgart. But not everything fits into a special teaching module – therefore, there now is the Water Blog!
