Many professors in our field of study are actively involved in the standards and regulations work of various professional associations. These activities, which are usually carried out on an honorary basis, ensure a close link between current regulations and our teaching. The following selection shows the spectrum of our fields of activity.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Baumann is active in the regulatory work of the DWA (Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfallwirtschaft e.V.) in technical committees and working groups. Most recently, the DWA-A 268 "Automation of activated sludge plants" and the M-206 "Automation of chemical phosphorus elimination" (10/2020) were developed here. The DWA Code of Practice A-281 "Dimensioning of trickling filter plants, plants with rotating filters and submerged fixed beds" will soon be published as a draft (yellow print).

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heiner Hartmann is active in the standards committee NA 005-05-01 AA "Mirror Committee Timber Construction" as well as in the subcommittee "Cluster Timber Construction" with a focus on stability, vibrations, slices and plates.
