We proudly present our new website!

Welcome to our new university's website www.hft-stuttgart.de

The new Website of the HFT Stuttgart is online and we invite you to visit our restructed and renewed pages.

For the project "website relaunch" many players were involved at the HFT Stuttgart. It has started at the beginning of 2018 with a comprehensive, university-wide needs analysis together with professors and staff in the faculties and administration. Surveys were conducted among the students in the courses of study and eye tracking studies were analysed on the previous website. From this, the Marketing & Press Office, together with Prof. Dr. Kristina Weichelt-Kosnick, scientific director of university marketing, developed a catalogue of requirements as a basis for the tender. In the further process, content was restructured, a target group oriented menu navigation was developed and a new content management system has been introduced.

"The main objective of the new website was and is to offer an introduction to study courses, projects and university topics that is clearly oriented towards the target groups and the needs of the users," explains Petra Dabelstein, Head of the Marketing & Communication.

Together with employees and professors from all areas of the university, a project group was founded to involve all faculties, research and administration in the relaunch process. By creating an additional project management position, for which Jens Kohring could be won as product owner, a new website for the university could be realized within one year together with the agency group FGTCLB. Guided and trained by the Marketing & Communication Office, more than 80 editors in the various departments will maintain and update the digital presence of the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart.

In a clearly agile process, everything from the content management system and menu structures to the server landscape was renewed - always with the goal of significantly increasing user-friendliness and usability in mind. In line with the motto "mobile first", the new website is also responsively designed and can be accessed conveniently from all mobile devices.

We are looking forward to your feedback and suggestions! Please write us under website(at)hft-stuttgart.de.
