Dates and deadlines for the winter semester

Expected timetable for the winter semester 2020/21

Regarding the current situation and the determination for the deadline of the application date by the Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) and the Stiftung Hochschulzulassung, the following dates for the winter semester at the HFT Stuttgart are confirmed:

Application deadlines

Application for a Master's programme

Applications for a place in a Master's programme are still possible until 15 July 2020.

Note: For some Master's programmes the application deadline ends earlier!

Information and application for a Master programme

Application for a Bachelor's programme

Applications for a place in a Bachelor's programme are possible from 1 July to 20 August 2020.

Information and application for a Bachelor degree

Start Wintersemester

Dates for first semester students:

Bridge Course Mathematics: 28.09.-02.10.2020

Preparation week: 05.10.-09.10.2020

Start of lectures:

Start of lectures for all semesters: October 12, 2020

Studying in the winter semester at the HFT Stuttgart?

The HFT Stuttgart (HAW) offers a wide range of accredited Bachelor's and Master's programmes in architecture and design, civil engineering, building physics, computer science, mathematics, surveying and economics. The training is practice-oriented and takes place in small groups. Around 125 professors teach 4000 students, supported by over 400 lecturers and tutors. Application-related project tasks, teamwork, interdisciplinary work and foreign languages play a decisive role in the course of study.

Changeover to online teaching

Due to the corona pandemic, the HFT Stuttgart has changed its teaching to online lectures in the current summer semester. Numerous new digital forms of teaching and learning have been created. A small extract of innovative online formats can be found under HFT goes digital.
