14th October 2021: Updated hygiene concept of HFT Stuttgart published

For the winter semester 2021/22 a new hygiene concept has been adopted, it is available for download here: Hygiene concept HFT Stuttgart (13.10.2021).

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that the following regulations apply at the HFT Stuttgart:

  • Mandatory wearing of masks on the entire premises (indoor and outdoor) as well as in all lectures.
  • You have to carry a 3G proof with you and show it on demand.
  • When entering or leaving a room, a check-in or check-out via UniNow is mandatory.

September 23: 3G regulation for the winter semester 2021/2022

  • In the winter semester 2021/2022, the 3G-regulation (vaccinated - recovered - tested) will apply at the universities of the state of Baden-Württemberg, which must also be observed without restriction by lecturers and students at the HFT Stuttgart for face-to-face teaching.
  • Corona self-tests: Starting on 14.10.2021, students will be able to take self-tests free of charge on Mondays and Thursdays from 07:00 to 09:00 am in the rooms of Breitscheidstraße 2c (behind Building 5). The self-tests are provided by the HFT. The university-issued test certificates can be recorded in the UniNowApp for the respective time validity and are to be shown in case of random checks. The HFT test certificates are only valid on the HFT campus for participation in courses, but not outside the HFT Stuttgart. The university may only do this as a series test. This means: You must bring your confirmation of the previous test to the follow-up appointment and may not skip any appointments (Monday or Thursday). If there is an interruption, you can rejoin the series testing at HFT Stuttgart with a test that is updated on the same day. For more details, please refer to the hygiene concept of the HFT Stuttgart.
  • The basic mask requirement on campus (this also applies outdoors) will remain in effect for the upcoming semester.
  • The library will continue to be open to patrons under the aforementioned 3-G requirements.

Note: Please note that the HFT is not free in the design of the coming semester, but has to comply with the regulations and requirements of the federal and state, in particular the CoronaVO Studienbetrieb of the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Current resolutions of the federal and state governments and the state government of Baden-Württemberg

The state government of Baden-Württemberg has adopted further measures to contain the Corona pandemic with effect from 19.04.2021. Detailed information can be found under the following link: Current changes to the Corona regulations

Questions & Answers

In order to identify and inform those persons (students, employees and guests) who have had contact in the case of confirmed infections, all cases must be reported to the direct supervisor, the Rector's Office at and to the local health office. A separate functional email has been set up for students:

Please refer to the latest information from the RKI.

All further information on the procedure can be obtained from the Health Department and the Ministry of Social Affairs in Baden-Württemberg

The opening hours of the university for university employees will remain 08:00 - 20:00 until further notice, as well as for courses on the weekends, if necessary. Please note the 3G regulation as well as the wearing of a mask.

On the HFT premises, an unrestricted obligation to wear mouth-to-nose coverings continues to apply in all rooms and on the open-air grounds. This includes corridors, courtyard, lecture halls, elevator, meeting rooms, kitchens and group offices (the latter if more than one person is present). The use of FFP2 masks or medical masks is mandatory. We would like to point out that the procurement of FFP2 masks is your responsibility. Only in urgent emergencies are individual FFP2 masks available in the central secretariats in buildings 1-3 as well as in building 8.

Special regulation for examinations that are set as written or oral examinations: those who do not appear for the examination do NOT have to submit a certificate.

We recommend the SPO check:

Is it an examination performance - i.e. graded?
Is the form of examination a KL (for written examination) or MP (for oral examination)?

=> then this regulation applies

For other oral formats, such as a presentation, a draft presentation or similar, a certificate must be submitted to the examiner immediately. The examiner forwards it to the examination office and a withdrawal due to illness is entered instead of the failed attempt.

Legal basis: § 8 of the Corona Statutes SoSe 2021

  •     Masks are compulsory for everyone and also during the examination.
  • Everything at a distance: even in the examination room, sit at marked places with at least 1.50 m distance to each person.
  • Sufficient disinfectant and cleaning cloths are available in each room.
  • Contactless registration via UNI Now at the room and additional participant check by the examination invigilator
  • Examinations are available at the examination site and are also left there after the end of the examination
  • And last but not least: Students only stay at the HFT for the examination and leave the building and grounds swiftly afterwards.

Due to the current Corona regulations, quick tests are obligatory. However, since decisions are still being made on the confirmation of vaccinated and recovered students, we will inform you about the exact procedure in June.

Due to the current obligation to provide information in order to trace possible chains of infection, registration is mandatory for attendance events. If possible, this should be done online via the HFT app or via web variants. Alternatively, paper forms and collection containers are available in the entrance areas of the university buildings.

Online registration:
Registration is carried out with a smartphone in the HFT app or via a mobile web variant by scanning the QR code. It is also possible to register via laptop. Every room change requires a login/logout. It is not allowed to log in only for the first lecture and log out after the last lecture.

Registration in paper form
Alternatively, registration in paper form can be done in the entrance areas of the buildings. Registration forms are available there and there are collection containers. In order to minimise the organisational effort, we kindly ask you to use online registration as a priority.
