»CASE STUDY TAG 2021«

Sustainable planning, building & use

11/06/2021 from 9.45 a.m. to approx. 4 p.m., online

On Friday, 11/06/2021, the ClimateEngineering degree programme will organise this year's CASE STUDY TAG. Goal of this event is to present and discuss in detail a few selected complex practical examples – realised and in operation – with high standards in architecture, energy efficiency, sustainability and a high degree of innovation.

The event begins with a welcome by the ClimateEngineering degree programme.  Next, architects, engineers and building owners will report on the planning and implementation of exciting architectural projects.

One of the two projects is the Schubart-highschool in Aalen. Here, a "zero-energy building" was designed. In order to achieve this standard, numerous requirements regarding a resource-efficient and energetic construction method had to be taken into account. By the means of energy generation via photovoltaics or the supply of fresh air via an earth canal, the building’s energetic quality could be increased and energy consumption reduced to a minimum.

Another project is the so-called "polar bear house" in Kirchheim unter Teck.

The planning headquarters of the general contractor and architectural office BANKWITZ beraten planen bauen is located in the building ensemble consisting of three different components. One of the goals was to create a new form of sustainability – not least by using recycled concrete and by omitting a dedicated heat source.

The schedule will start at 9.45 a.m. and will end at approx. 4.00 p.m. with concluding remarks by the ClimateEngineering degree programme.

We are looking forward to a day full of interesting, informative contributions.
